A senior delivery lead without the full-time hire
When a programme needs senior ownership but not a permanent role, I step in as delivery lead or PMO lead, part-time or full-time, for the length of the programme.
What I take on
- Scope, charter and business case: the baseline, the benefits and the funding approval.
- Budget ownership: forecasts, variance and spend tracked against work actually finished.
- One integrated schedule across vendors, carriers and internal teams, with dependencies and critical path made visible.
- Site planning and readiness: surveys, equipment and circuit lead times, local contacts and training, tracked as milestones.
- Migration and cutover planning: pilot first, then waves, each with a pre-cutover checklist, a change window and a rollback path.
- Vendor accountability: a clear RACI, contracted commitments, corrective action plans when a wave slips.
- Governance: one RAID log, weekly status, and steering from working team to executive sponsor.
- Hypercare, legacy decommissioning and a clean handover to operations.
Typical programmes
- SD-WAN and branch network modernisation across hundreds of sites.
- Voice and unified communications moves to cloud voice.
- Data-centre and cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP), including legacy device refreshes.
- Contact-centre moves to cloud platforms, with conversational AI and agent assist.
- Wireless, LTE, fibre and broadband rollouts for carriers and their enterprise clients.
- AI/ML and RPA programmes that need delivery discipline, not just a build team.
Evidence
- A nine-figure SD-WAN, cloud connectivity and voice modernisation across a national branch network, from wave planning and vendor integration through cutover, hypercare and end-of-life device refresh.
- A 24-person delivery team across 15 or more concurrent connectivity, LTE, cloud, contact-centre and security projects for one enterprise account.
- Current work: delivery leadership on enterprise network programmes.

PMO builds and terms
I build lightweight templates, a status rhythm and governance that teams use, and coach the project managers who run them. Engagements are monthly or fixed-term, scoped to the work, with a defined handover. Specialist contractors can be added when the scope grows.
NDA first, on request. I take a small number of clients at a time.
